Wild American Shrimp Announces Chef of the Year Nominations

BILOXI, MS – The American Shrimp Processors Association (ASPA) and their brand, Wild American Shrimp, announce the inaugural Chef of the Year program. Of 31 Chef Advocates that represent Wild American Shrimp, only one can be named the “Admiral of Advocacy” for ASPA.

To be named Chef of the Year, the nominees must meet criteria to include ways they’ve promoted Wild American Shrimp through their personal social media channels, TV appearances, and other media opportunities, their involvement of philanthropic efforts within their community, restaurant featuring two or more dishes containing Wild American Shrimp, and have won at least one award for culinary excellence.

Applications for nominations will be reviewed by a board member of ASPA, a shrimp processor affiliated with ASPA, and a member of the Wild American Shrimp marketing team. Out of the qualified nominations, the winner will be drawn randomly. The winner will reign for one year, and will receive prizes to include a custom designed plaque, official proclamation, and $500 given to the charity of the winner’s choosing.

Chefs can be self-nominated, by their peers, publicist, or favorite customers and fans.
